# Launch a coin
> A step-by-step guide to creating your own creator coin on Creator.fun — no coding required, gas fees on us.
Creator.fun makes it easy to launch your own coin in minutes. Every coin starts at a \$10,000 market cap with a fixed supply of 1 billion tokens. You choose how much of the supply you want to buy at launch and how much of every trade you want to earn back as creator rewards.
Review your coin details carefully before submitting. The name, ticker, coin type, and all other settings **cannot be changed** after your coin is created.

## Before you start
You'll need a Creator.fun account with a connected Solana wallet. If you plan to purchase creator supply at launch, make sure your wallet has enough SOL:
* **1% creator supply** — approximately 1 SOL required
* **3% creator supply** — approximately 2.5 SOL required
If you choose 0% creator supply, no SOL is needed to launch.
## Creation steps
Your token icon is the face of your coin across the platform. Upload a square image in **JPEG or PNG** format, up to **500×500px** and **2MB** max.
This field is required — your coin cannot be created without an icon.
After selecting a file, a crop tool will open so you can center and adjust the image before saving.
A banner gives your coin page a more polished look. Upload a **JPEG or PNG** image up to **1500×500px** and **2MB** max.
The banner appears at the top of your coin's detail page. A crop tool opens after you select a file.
Fill in the core identity fields for your coin:
* **Coin name** (required) — the full display name of your coin, e.g. *Alex Creator Coin*
* **Ticker** (required) — a short symbol, up to 10 characters, e.g. *ALEX*. Tickers appear in brackets next to the coin name on the platform.
* **Coin type** (required) — choose the category that best fits your coin. See [Coin types](/create/coin-types) for a full breakdown of each option.
* **Description** (optional) — a short summary of your coin, up to 280 characters. This appears on your coin's detail page.
Connect your coin to your online presence by adding social links. Expand the **Add Social Links** section to enter:
* **Website** — your personal site or project URL
* **X (Twitter)** — your X profile or announcement thread
* **Telegram** — your community or group chat link
Adding social links makes your coin easier to find and gives potential holders more ways to learn about you. Coins with complete profiles tend to attract more engagement.
Creator rewards are a percentage of every trade's volume that flows back to you automatically. Choose one of three rates:

| **1%** | 1% of every buy and sell volume |
This setting is required. Once set, it applies to all trading activity on your coin.
You can also share your creator rewards with collaborators — see **Set up fee splits** below.
Creator supply lets you buy a portion of your coin's total supply at the moment of launch. Choose one of three options:

Purchasing creator supply requires SOL in your wallet before launching. For 1% supply, have at least 1 SOL available. For 3% supply, have at least 2.5 SOL available. The platform covers all gas fees — the SOL you provide goes toward buying the tokens themselves.
Buying creator supply at launch means you hold tokens from day one and benefit if the coin's price rises.
If you're launching a coin with collaborators or want to share creator rewards with other users, you can add fee split recipients. Each recipient receives a defined share of your creator rewards as trades happen.
To add a recipient, search for their Creator.fun username and assign them a percentage of your creator rewards to share.
Fee splits do not increase the total fee charged to traders — they only divide your portion of creator rewards among the people you add.
Once all required fields are filled in, the **Create Creator Coin** button becomes active. Click it to submit.
The platform will:
1. Upload your icon and banner images
2. Create your token on the Solana blockchain
3. Set up the liquidity pool at a \$10,000 starting market cap
4. Purchase your creator supply (if selected)
Gas fees are covered by Creator.fun — **you pay nothing extra to launch**.
After a successful launch, you'll see a success card with your new coin's details. From here you can:
* **Share on X (Twitter)** — post a pre-filled tweet announcing your coin to your followers
* **View your live coin** — go directly to your coin's detail page to see it in action
